Leading for Global Competence: Fall Cohort

World Savvy’s Leading for Global Competence cohorts support school and district leaders in reimagining education through global competence.

Global Competence refers to the skills, values, and behaviors necessary to thrive in an ever-changing and complex world. It’s a transformative lens through which we can create future-ready learning environments that prepare every student to succeed in a global economy. Global Competence provides an organizing framework that encompasses critical areas in K-12 education – STEM, SEL, DEIJ, PBL, Civics, and CTE. By tackling these collectively through Global Competence, school leaders can avoid initiative fatigue while ensuring all objectives remain front and center.

Across 8 hours of workshops and facilitated discussion, we will build the capacity to embed global competence into teaching, learning, and culture while laying the groundwork for deep, sustainable work with students and school communities.

Our transformative model creates a lasting impact that goes beyond an individual teacher or administrator, ensuring that future generations benefit from the choices made today. By working as a cohort, Leading for Global Competence creates space to discuss the challenges you face, and work directly with your colleagues to develop practical solutions.

We’re offering two cohort opportunities this Summer:

• Cohort A sessions will be held virtually on Tuesdays from 8:30 – 10:30 am CDT
• Cohort B sessions will be held virtually on Tuesdays from 3:00 – 5:00 pm CDT

Both cohorts will meet on the following dates:

• Tuesday, October 3, 2023
• Tuesday, October 31, 2023
• Tuesday, November 14, 2023
• Tuesday, December 5, 2023
