GEP - Resource Library
World Savvy has a resource library with a variety of materials on global issues:
- curriculum units
- teacher-created lessons
- books
- films and documentaries
- magazines
- web resources
Search the online catalog by keyword or title to find materials for your classes. All resources include descriptions and are linked to curriculum standards*.
Many of the resources catalogued here are online resources you can access directly - check the description for the weblink. Items housed in our San Francisco office can only be borrowed by teachers (or alumni teachers) of World Savvy’s programs. To borrow materials, email Kelly.
Note about standards: Materials in the resource library are catalogued according to the California content standards; look for links to Minnesota and New York in the future. The CA standards are abbreviated in each entry to save space. For a synopsis of the standards and abbreviations, please click on the attachments below.

Sample World Savvy’s Immigration and Identity curriculum!
Click the photo above to download a free sample of World Savvy’s Immigration and Identity curriculum – a key component of our Global Youth Media & Arts Program (MAP). Immigration and identity is an increasingly vital area of exploration for American youth as our communities, workplaces and schools become more diverse, and the MAP guides youth and teachers in exploring their own lives and communities as a means of engaging with this crucial issue. The full curriculum takes students on a journey, guiding them through Self – an exploration of personal identity – to Movement – focused on the mechanics and motivation of immigrant journeys – to Settlement – an investigation of the benefits and challenges that immigrants and communities face as they adapt to new circumstances. Read more about the innovative MAP, recently featured by the Asia Society.
