“World Savvy provides the most effective professional development training of my career. Great combination of conversation, activities and planning. I feel as though I am prepared to apply what I learned.”

“I am so excited to use MAP activities in my classroom, especially to help my students build their SELF-awareness so that they can move towards global citizenship. MAP/World Savvy reminds me why I am an educator and why I believe so strongly of the power and necessity of educational experiences that are meaningful, critical and empowering. Thank you for giving me the boost I needed to go into the classroom and feel empowered.”

“I feel that I have grown tremendously as an educator due to my work with [World Savvy. They have] helped me think about how I design my classes and lessons and also taught me several new ways to let students take responsibility and leadership roles when it comes to workshops and field trips. I have done more innovative projects and trips in this one semester working with World Savvy that I have over the entire course of a school year.”

My students LOVE World Savvy! They have grown so much - as freshman they took on several leadership roles in their classrooms and school. They have learned to problem solve, work as a team, and really think about issues of immigration and identity in our neighborhoods, but also globally. Their projects begin to demonstrate their growth in their thinking, but to sit in on a student led discussion of their understandings of current immigration issues really shows how much our students have grown this semester.
