Community collaboration and partnership is a cornerstone of programming at World Savvy. We acknowledge that a wealth of organizations exist which address the range of challenges facing schools and education in the United States, and we actively seek collaboration with organizations which share our mission and vision.

New York University, 2008 to present
This year in New York City, NYU collaborated with World Savvy to enhance the Professional Development Institute offered to the more than 30 participating educators in the Global Youth Media and Arts Program. We are thrilled to be learning and co-creating with the talented arts educators on staff at NYU, and are grateful to them for hosting the 2009 MAP Festival and Culminating visual arts exhibition.
Center for Urban Pedagogy: (New York, NY)
The Center for Urban Pedagogy helped World Savvy program staff to design and implement a field trip on gentrification for the 2008 MAP program in New York City.
Crossing the BLVD: strangers, neighbors, aliens in a new America
Crossing the BLVD is book, audio CD, website and exhibition that details the personal experiences of contemporary immigrants in Queens, NY. In 2008 all MAP educators received a copy of this book and Judith Sloan performed a related monologue entitled "What's Your Status?" at the Global Youth Media and Arts Festival. In 2008-9, World Savvy has integrated a stories, images and a radio documentary from Crossing the BLVD into World Savvy's Collaborator's Guide. http://www.crossingtheblvd.org
El Proyecto de los Trabajadores (New York, NY)
El Proyecto helped World Savvy program staff to design and implement a field trip on undocumented workers for the 2008 MAP program in New York City.
LaGuardia Community College, (New York, NY) 2008 to present
LaGuardia Community College was the host of the 2008 Global Youth MAP performance exhibition in June 2008, as well as a host for the Jam Session and Professional Development for more than 500 NYC area youth and teachers in this program.
Museum of Chinese and the Americas (MOCA) New York
The Museum of Chinese and the Americas helped World Savvy program staff to design and implement a field trip on culture, food and identity for the 2008 MAP program in New York City.
Museum of Modern Art (New York, NY)
MoMa generously donated space for the Professional Development Institute offered to more than 30 NYC teachers in the Global Youth Media and Arts Program.

World Up! Was a presenter and collaborator for the Professional Development Institute offered to more than 30 NYC teachers in the Global Youth Media and Arts Program in New York City in 2008.
