Donate - Haldan Sustainability Circle

The Haldan Sustainability Circle is an esteemed group of individuals who have collectively made an investment in the long term sustainability of World Savvy. This support plays an instrumental role in ensuring the thoughtful growth of activities and programs.

The Haldan Sustainability Circle was founded in May 2007 by J. Stuart Haldan and Sarah Haldan, father and daughter. The Haldans first became involved with World Savvy when Sarah became part of the internship program in 2004. The family has traditionally valued education and global awareness, and was pleased to discover an organization with aligned values. Since that time, Sarah, J. Stuart, as well as other members of the Haldan family have provided generous and reliable financial support, enabling World Savvy to build organizational capacity and widen impact in the community.

Acknowledging the importance of sustained commitment from individuals over time, World Savvy – led by the Haldans – initiated the Sustainability Circle to provide capital to expand to New York City, where the Global Youth Media and Arts Program was piloted in Spring 2008. J. Stuart and Sarah endowed this Circle with a combined initial gift of $50,000. The Haldan Sustainability Circle was so named to recognize the impact their contributions have had on growth since 2004.

With the support of the Circle members and that of hundreds of other individuals, World Savvy is helping youth to think beyond their borders and prepare for successful futures in our global community.
