The World Savvy Gala is an excellent venue to connect with community members. The event is attended by over 200 local and national business leaders, philanthropists, parents, teachers, school administrators, district leaders and others who share the vision of developing the next generation of globally competent citizens. The event highlights the impact of World Savvy’s programs by showcasing student and teacher participants.

The 2010 World Savvy Gala will celebrate the introduction of a new theme for our youth programming: Sustainable Communities. Beginning in the fall, youth and educators will explore our individual and collective capacity to endure and support all forms of life on earth environmentally, economically and socially. World Savvy students will focus their explorations and solution seeking on the potential for long-term maintenance of wellbeing for people, plants, animals and ecosystems–through an examination of issues such as sustainable development, energy, food, transport and design–on a local, national and global scale.

Join honored guests and authors Peter Menzel & Faith D'Aluisio, Temra Costa, Douglas Gayeton & Laura Howard, and Mark Gerzon for an intimate conversation about sustainability and global citizenship during our VIP reception. Books will be available for purchase and signed by the authors.
