Tips Tuesday: Using Design Thinking to Jolt Creativity and Problem-Solve

Anyone can think like a designer because design thinking is about imagining the possibilities of anything. That’s right. Although a mouth full of words – it’s very simple. Anyone can follow the principles of design thinking to understand others, experiment with a variety of solutions, and creatively problem- solve about anything. The basic principles of design thinking have been iterated in different ways, but the pioneers of the movement at Stanford University and IDEO state that thinking through problems includes these phases:
There are lots of different activities to help navigate through each phase. The great thing about design thinking is that there are lots of ideas, collaboration, creativity and experimentation without the pressure of being “right” or “wrong.”
