Daniel DeVito - Chairman
Dan is a partner at the firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom LLP in New York. He has a deep interest in education and youth development and has been very active in his Westchester community for many years, particularly through his involvement in youth athletic programs. He believes strongly in the commitment World Savvy has made to engage youth through both innovative and proven strategies.
Madiha Murshed, Co-Founder - Vice Chairman
Madiha graduated from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs in May 2002 with a Master in International Affairs, and a concentration in Economic and Political Development. She received a Bachelor‘s Degree in Development Economics from Harvard College in June 1999. She lived in Bangladesh, Bahrain and Singapore before coming to the U.S. to attend college, and brings a rich perspective on international affairs to the organization. Since May 2006, Madiha has served as Executive Director at Services for Professional Education and Enterprise Development in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is an adult training center for teacher and professionals and we run workshops and courses on Teacher Training, English Language Development and Corporate Professional Development. She is also a Director at Scholastica, the largest English-medium private school in Bangladesh, working on various management and administrative issues in Scholastica including faculty affairs, curriculum development and student-parent relationships.
Hansoo Lee - Treasurer
Hansoo was a Senior Manager at Walmart.com in Brisbane, CA until July 2008. He earned a Bachelor's Degree from Amherst College, where he double-majored in Economics and Fine Arts. His functional experience includes finance, operations, and technology. Hansoo was a member of our Fundraising and Development Advisory Committee, and joined our Board of Directors in 2005.

Joseph Curran Jr. - Secretary
Joseph is currently the Director of Implementation at Achieve3000, an educational technology company that delivers differentiated instruction for reading comprehension and technology skills via the internet. His interest in World Savvy is a result of his long time involvement in education, as a teacher and administrator. He currently lives in Naples, Florida.
Megan L. Fielding

Megan is a VP in Marketing and Investor Relations at HRJ Capital. She earned her BA in Economics from Wheaton College, studied Economics and Fine Art at Edinburgh University, Scotland, and has completed financial certificate programs at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Megan's interest in World Savvy stems from her long-term focus on developing countries & global citizens, starting in elementary school as a "Big Blue Marble" penpal & aspiring artist for Unicef, extending into her "Model UN" years during high school & her studies abroad, and continuing today, through her personal and professional travels & research.
David Maurrasse, PhD
David is Assistant Professor at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs. From 1998 to 2000, David was Senior Program Advisor at the Rockefeller Foundation. He was also Lecturer and Research Fellow at Yale University between 1995-1997. He has worked as an independent consultant for several years on issues related to various aspects of nonprofit management and philanthropy. He recently founded his own consulting company, Marga Inc., and is its President and CEO.
Anita Trachte

Anita has served as a consultant for several years to Buchanan Investments, a private equity firm, in various capacities related to the firm's financial services portfolio. Prior to becoming involved in venture capital she spent a number of years as head of international loan syndications at Marine Midland Bank, now HSBC, in both New York and London, and Wells Fargo Bank in San Francisco. As part of her responsibilities at these institutions, she traveled extensively in Europe and the Middle East. She is a graduate of the Catholic University of America and holds an MBA from the University of Washington.
Jennifer McClanahan
Jennifer is a Law Firm Administrator at Foley & Lardner LLP. In this business leadership position she is responsible for overseeing the delivery of quality services in support of the legal operations of Foley's San Francisco office. Jennifer has had substantial human resource and managerial experience with major financial services and law firms. Immediately prior to joining Foley & Lardner LLP, she as the law firm administrator for the bay Area offices of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP.
Greg Klein
Greg has served in several executive positions in both the financial and telecommunication sectors and is currently the VP of Product Planning and Delivery at Virgin Mobile USA, LLC. He has significant international business experience ranging from support of international joint ventures to outsourcing of delivery processes to offshore locations. Greg earned his BA in Political Science from California State University - Hayward. His interest in global education stems from his travel abroad as well as wanting to create opportunities for his four school age children to better understand the world in which they live.
